Ronaldo announced his departure from Portugal’s camp in Denmark. AFP reports that the Portuguese federation confirmed he had left the squad.
The announcement followed Jorge Jesus’s pre-match press conference. Portugal’s preparations continue with the remaining squad members. Ronaldo said he would explain his reasons in due course.
Leaving this camp does not, by itself, confirm retirement from international football.
