Ronaldo debate: Piers Morgan hits back at Ten Hag

Piers Morgan has entered the latest debate over Cristiano Ronaldo and Erik ten Hag. In a report published on 1 November, 365Scores reproduces an X post in which Morgan challenges the former Manchester United manager’s assessment of Ronaldo.

Morgan’s response centres on Ronaldo’s scoring record and takes a personal swipe at Ten Hag. We are reporting the reaction through the publisher that reproduced it; the original X link is provided below, but we could not independently load that post during this check.

The immediate background is Ten Hag’s appearance on ESPN’s Goedemorgen Eredivisie. FCUpdate’s account of that interview describes the coach arguing that a team must come first, while questioning Ronaldo’s ability to keep performing at the highest level.

Those are competing opinions about performance and team roles. Morgan’s post does not establish a new match result, award or career milestone, and it is not a statement from Ronaldo.
